We started with candles. We became obsessed with scent.
1914 Candle Co. is a family-run home fragrance company based in Kent, creating candles, wax melts, reed diffusers and room sprays designed to make a home feel as good as it looks.
What started with a love of beautifully scented candles has grown into something much bigger: a fascination with fragrance and the way it can completely change the atmosphere of a space.
For us, home fragrance isn’t simply about making a room smell nice.
It’s about creating a feeling.
A New Chapter For 1914
For years, we’ve created the fragrances people know and love - the familiar scents that make a house feel welcoming, warm and beautifully scented.
But the more we explored fragrance, the more we wanted to create something different.
We didn’t want 1914 to become just another home fragrance brand offering the same scents as everyone else. So we're evolving.
We’re moving towards scent fusion and original fragrance recipes — experimenting with combinations, contrasts and unexpected pairings to create scents with their own personality.
Some start with a fragrance profile we already love.
Others are created entirely from our own ideas.
The aim is simple:
To create fragrance you don’t simply recognise.

Think about the smell of your home when you walk through the door.

Those are the moments we’re interested in creating.

1914 Candle Co. is proudly family-run and based in Kent. Every product is made with care, from choosing the fragrance to pouring, finishing and preparing each order. We’re a small business, and that’s something we’re proud of. It means we can experiment. We can create small runs. We can develop unusual fragrance combinations. And when we discover something we love, we can share it with you.
